Editorial Review for Princeville Resort – by Gayot.com
The Scene
This is one of Kauai's top resorts. It is located on the cooler, greener North Shore of the island, which is also stormier in the wintertime. The regal hotel boasts one of the most stunning settings in Hawaii, with breathtaking views of Hanalei Bay and the mountains visible through nearly every window.
The Details
Accommodations are spacious, and showers have windows that allow you to gaze at the scenery--for privacy, click a switch and the window clouds over. The hotel offers a wide range of amenities such as challenging golf courses, a full spa and health club, resort shops and a beach. The splendid restaurants include Cafe Hanalei, with outdoor dining overlooking Hanalei Bay. Afternoon tea and nightly entertainment are available in the Living Room Lounge, equipped with boardgames and shelves of classic novels. The beachfront luau on Mondays and Thursdays is a gem.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days. I loved it!! It was hard to leave. The food is very expensive, in fact everything at this hotel is really expensive. Lunch by the pool was the best value. I booked this hotel through my American Express Platinum and got an upgraded suite and breakfast for two every morning. If you surf it's also a great hotel. If you tip well the bell men will keep your board and store it for you and hike it down to the beach when you need it.
Pros: Won't want to leave....Views are the best.
Cons: Expensive
