Assaggio is a nice non-chain restaurant located in the Ala Moana Shopping center. The food is traditional Italian and you can get full or half servings for ANY meal on the menu. It's a nice option for people who aren't starving. Plus they're reasonably priced.

Traditional Italian food in the heart of Kailua. The service has never been anything short of excellent and the food has always been satisfactory. The ambience make for a nice intimate place to bring your loved ones, but please leave the (very) little ones at home.

Um, I was surprised to see that this restaurant got such high ratings. The food is just OK. Kind of greasy but the portions are big. The atmosphere is nice but not nice enough to charge so much for the food. The female manager is very un-friendly and seems to have a temper. Dining experience was just Ok.
