I've had lots of bad experiences at 24hr fitness! I had free passes to Kapiolani Blvd. gym and the person helping us refused to let us use it and when we complained to the manager, she had the nerve to say that we shouldn't expect things to be free - because the guy was trying to lock us into a membership before even using the facility! They were very rude and unprofressional. Unfortunately, a few years after that I was forced to join 24Hr because it was the closest one in my area (leeward side) and its still crappy. The pearl kai one never has enough parking and the mililani one is filthy and they allow patrons to go into the steam and sauna rooms with their workout clothes and shoes! Gross! I wish we had Bally's here.....I finally quit and I'm going to YMCA in Waipahu which is clean and good customer service but they close at 9pm.

Pros: 24 hrs

Cons: parking fee, no parking, rude staff, filthy, unsanitary

I had the exact same interaction with Segundo when I went in to enroll at 24 hour fitness. He was so rude and tried to persuade me that I wasn't a Hawaii resident, simply because I go to school on the mainland. I have a Hawaii driver's license, I vote in Hawaii and my permanent address is in Hawaii. I understand that these clubs have rules, but he was a completely rude and unprofessional about the whole thing.
