A True WOW Experience. I'm pretty picky, so when I'm impressed, that's unusual. I recently received an arrangement from Florist Grand that took my breath away. I had done a good turn for friend, and he sent the arrangement to thank me. It was beautifully designed, delivered chilled and absolutely perfect. The flowers lasted for over two weeks (in an air-conditioned home), and guests to my home all commented on their beauty. Impressed, I called to order an arrangement for friend from Florist Grand as a get-well wish. I spoke with Evan Morita, owner and designer (who answered the phone himself!), who was courteous and attentive in listening to what I wanted in the way of flowers, design and price. The arrangement was delivered as scheduled, and when my friend called to thank me, she was almost speechless. Florist Grand isn't cheap, but when you need to send the best, they really come through.
Not a Store, just a design center. Has not returned my calls, so not sure how to answer this section.
Not So Grand.
I have recently been acquainted with Florist Grand's mastery of flowers when I was in the hospital. The flowers looked great when I received them but soon perished by the next day.
I called them and told them about it and they just said that it's the nature of the flowers to die fast and they have no control over them once delivered.
I relayed that message to the sender and she was a little upset and said she had that happen twice already from this florist and was apologetic that they were not good quality.
I will remember their name from now on. Grand as in grand-slam to the bank!
High-End Flowers at a Higher-End Price.
I was referred to Florist Grand to get the most outstanding arrangements Hawaii has ever seen. Instead I got a bouquet chocked full of carnations, babies breath and small roses. My boyfriend said he spent about $150 and I thought that anywhere I could have gotten better.
I asked him to call and complain, but he was embarrassed to so I decided to call and spoke with the designer and he said that these carnations were special and were flown in from South America. I said, "Whoopy Doo!" but at $150???? He also said the order was a rush order and the price was the total for the arrangement plus the delivery. Auahi is just five minutes away from Ala Moana Center, I still couldn't see it and the flowers came to me at about noon, so there was plenty of time and the distance. Oh well, I wasn't about to argue about it, but this experience lead me to write up this review.
Is there any decent flower shops in Hawaii?
