Sorry, the Wave is out of business. The building was just torn down (Oct'06), to get ready for new 35 story condo.

So apparently the bar/club scene in Honolulu is stuck about ten years in the past and reminiscent of a stroll into a really cheesy version of spring break? Stick with the Mai Tais on the beach and avoid trying to find anything remotely close to a decent bar you would find on the mainland. It's not happening. Oh yeah, get ready for a sword fight as well.
