Don't Go, it's out of business.. Sorry, the Wave is out of business. The building was just torn down (Oct'06), to get ready for new 35 story condo.

Holy Dorkfest. So apparently the bar/club scene in Honolulu is stuck about ten years in the past and reminiscent of a stroll into a really cheesy version of spring break? Stick with the Mai Tais on the beach and avoid trying to find anything remotely close to a decent bar you would find on the mainland. It's not happening. Oh yeah, get ready for a sword fight as well.

as good as it gets in waikiki. I jsut moved here from NYC and I must say that The Wave is the most fun I have had since New York. The crowd is cool, music is good and the places gets packed. Only difference here than in New York, the people and staff are actually nice here.

Riding the Wave. Meow Cat Lounge on Tuesday nights are nice. The place is kind of ghetto but the bartenders and waitstaff are really nice. Hip hop starts at midnight upstairs and the DJ is pretty good with downstairs being a mix of trance/bands type of scene.
