Editorial Review for Halekulani Hotel – by Suz Andreasen
The Scene
Modern and exclusive, this posh hotel offers the ultimate in privacy and pampering. Upon entering the grand lobby, you'll instantly know that you've landed in one of Hawaii's finest resorts. Professional service and personal attention make for a seamless stay. Although it seems a world away from the fast pace of Waikiki, the hotel's prime location affords easy access to unlimited nearby attractions.
The Amenities
Spacious, elegant rooms are filled with luxurious touches including orchid arrangements, plush robes and large, well-furnished lanais. Choose from six room types, from a standard guest room to the ultra-indulgent Vera Wang Suite. The majority of rooms are blessed with an oceanfront view. Deep-soaking bathtubs are a divine treat for any weary traveler. You won't have to venture far to dine at three of the island's top restaurants; House Without a Key, La Mer and Orchids are all within the hotel.

I usually don't like breakfast buffets because the food is usually bland, cold, and has been sitting around for a long time while everyone has already gotten a chance to pick through it. However, this place had hot food, crisp bacon, made-to-order omlettes, fresh waffles and pancakes with real whipped cream, variety of breads and pastries, fresh fruits, drinks, and more! very friendly and attentive staff and a gorgeous view of the ocean and diamond head. The ONLY bad thing is that i only get to come here on special occasions.... ! do NOT miss it...
Pros: delicious food, great view, friendly staff
Cons: valet parking, wait on the weekends

My 1st time to Hawaii, & I was sort of lost, but I managed to get on the correct bus to take to to this hotel. Seeing it on websites & brochures is nothing compared to in person. I got off the bus & it was right there in front of me, so I checked in for just one night. I had the garden view room, but this was still amazing from the lanai that I had. I took advantage while I could: the complimentary fruit, drinks, chocolates, deep soaking tub, direct access to the beach. I wish I had more time. I return in September, so I hope to stay again.
Pros: view, beach access, location
Cons: price
