Best Cake on O'ahu!. I am an avid baker and lover of cakes. Cafe Laufer has THE best cakes on O'ahu!! Biting into any of their cakes, you taste superiority and love. The chef who creates these wonders really loves what he does. How do I know? I have personally gone up to him on his lunch break at the cafe and asked if he was the creator of these delicious cakes. He was genuinely happy to hear that I am so excited about his cakes. He also disclosed to me that he truly loves what he does and believes that that is what makes the biggest difference of all. My top 4 favorite cakes include but are not limited to (I haven't tried them all yet):

1. Peach Torte. This is a seriously light and fluffy cake which has a nice balance of everything! The cake itself is only slightly less fluffy than its cream.

2. Red Velvet. Light and exquisite. The best red velvet on this side of the island!

3. Caramelized Almond Torte. Who doesn't like a sweet version of this amazing nut! But not everyone can caramelize the same way.

4. Pumpkin Apple Tart. A surprising, delightful combination of 2 of some of my favorite dessert ingredients.

You can buy by the slice or a whole cake.

They have THE best chocolate chip muffins I've ever had.

Cafe Laufer has a cozy and stylish ambiance which makes for a unique dinning experience (even if you decide to skip your meal and just go for cake!). The staff is nice. There's a parking lot behind the Cafe which charges public parking rates--needless to say it's a huge advantage.

Additionally, Cafe Laufer has THE best Chinese Chicken salad in the city. The dressing is so light and full flavored. I dream about their dressing in my sleep with of course at least 1 slice of their cake for dessert :-)

Great Pastries, lunches and more. Excellent food and service in a comforting ambiance setting. I highly recommend this as it is our favorite luncheon place.

Try their pastries, they're well made and always fresh!
