Below-average food, terrible service. This restaurant goes wrong in so many ways, it?s hard to figure out where to start: Is it the ?lets save money on staff and not hire servers? attitude, which places the responsibility on the customer to wait in a slow moving line in order to do anything from getting a glass of water to ordering desert? Is it the over priced hummus that so reeks of raw garlic it is practically inedible? Is it the mounds of olive oil slopped carelessly onto every dish by lazy cooks? Is it that to get any of these dishes (even the pre-made hummus) takes an incredibly long time to come from the inexplicably rude cashier? Or is it that the ?key? to the dingy, smelly bathroom is attached to a giant slotted spoon, like a gas station?

Maybe it was just me: after waiting almost a half an hour in a line that was only three or four people deep, and then waiting another half an hour for a sloppily prepared hummus and store bought pita bread ($4.95), and yet another half an hour for our main courses (Lamb Souvlaki $14.95, Falafel $13.95) which were equally overpriced and overcooked. When my wife and I finally got to the counter to pick up our main courses, we noticed that they had out a lamb souvlaki and a fish souvlaki. When we tried to correct the casher (a man that I can only describe as greasy and unkempt, who seemed to have a genuine dislike for customers in need of food), he tried to argue with us and say that was what she had ordered; impossible since my wife is a strict vegetarian. The portions were very, very small considering the prices, and the lamb was dry and chewy, due to being severely undercooked. One might wonder if it were served on time, that the lamb may have been better. The falafel was very dry, over seasoned and overcooked. The dryness of the falafel was grossly overcompensated by an enormous over-drenching of tahini sauce, which ran all over the hands, plate, and small salad.

Good greek. I had a fine relationship with the staff, don't let other reviews throw you off. The food is good and ample, with fresh sauces and warm, rich breads. Ask for extra pita if you get the hummus, as an appetizer for two it wasn't enough. The falafel was good and filling. The baklava was as expected, nothing too amazing, but still good. You really have to fight for a table though!

Good food...rude staff!. Good food, but the staff can be downright rude. Enjoy the food, but save the tip for desert somewhere else!
