Roy Shimonishi's Hungry Lion has been a favorite local landmark for over thirty years. They serve breakfast 24 hours a day. The food is good. Try the June Jones Special. Very tasty! The service is quick and friendly. Many very well known celebrities come to "put their heads in the mouth of the lion". Check out Roy's celebrity gallery all over the walls. Roy's business philosophy still remains 1960's Hawaii "Feed them a lot. Make it tasty. Keep it cheap!" If you eat out for the food rather than the Furniture and Fixtures - - you won't go wrong at the Hungry Lion! And you'll find yourself returning again and again . . .

This is a cute out of the way place downtown that really gets crowded quick. I did go here once, and it is very small considering that I am only 52 and could touch the ceiling. The beer is cheap, it has dart boards, a very small dance floor, and very crowded. Ok to hang out, but not for me. PROS: small, out of the way CONS: small, crowded
