Paula's Sports Cards – I was in Honolulu for work, so instead of sightseeing I went looking for sports cards. Paula's shop is located on the second floor so I missed it the first time I drove by. There was enough free parking but the lot is shared with other businesses so it could get crowded.
Paula has a large variety of boxes to choose from and her prices are reasonable, however there are not many singles to go through. She does have a cy=ustomer sales board where the customer can place singles up for sale at their own risk.
Paula is friendly and knowledgable making the experience outstanding. I spent close to 4 hours in her store over the course of two days and enjoyed every minute. Next time I am in Honolulu on business I will skip the sightseeing and head straight over to Paula's.

BEST SPORTSCARDS SHOP IN HAWAII! PERIOD!!! – While perusing through UH Manoa, Kaimuki, Makiki, and the surrounding neighborhoods, I found it humbling to see that most of the sportscard shops were no longer around since my UH Manoa days. Paula's was still at its old location. I was estatic to see it still was. Paula's Sports Cards Etc. is aptly named after its owner, Paula. I have known Paula over 15 years since her days right off Kinau Street.
Paula is a kind , yet stern person. When I say stern, I mean that Paula is a take charge kind of owner. She is firm, strict, and uncompromsing. Because of the diverse traffic she gets, on occasion, she needs to be upfront with her customers and I respect her for that. I recently bought 1 box each of 2008 Upper Deck Legendary Cuts, 2007 Upper Deck Legendary Cuts, and 2008 Upper Deck Hobby, which were all baseball. Paula is quite bright and knowledgable of all the products she sells. Paula will give you the option to choose which boxes you want and will go out of her way to get them for you. I was looking for Yankee Legacy cards and some Babe Ruth inserts. Paula recommended the boxes I bought from her and I am fired up that she did. I opened the 2nd pack of the 2008 Legendary Cuts box. It was green/gray card that I was not sure what it was. I checked my Beckett Baseball guide and found out that it was a "Mystery Cuts" Exchange card! I was blown away! I have a chance to get a rare Babe Ruth or Lou Gehrig Cut card of my 2 favorite players all-time.
Paula was quite generous with me inserting some card holders and sleeves that I did not need to ask her for. Paula has re-ignited my passion for chasing Ruth and Gehrig cards once again. Hmm, I wonder if i should tell my wife about this. Not to worry, I am sure she would the one buying me more cards from Paula's after I shared my exciting lucky pull with her first. Paula you're the best! I look forward to buying more boxes from you when I return home soon to Hawaii! Aloha!
