Ohana Waikiki West, An Ascend Collection Hotel

Adequate. Ohana West was one of the cheapest hotels (regarding price) in the Waikiki area. You get what you pay for is how I would sum up my experience there. This odesn't mean that Ohana West is a bad hotel, just don't expect much.

The location was fantastic, which is the best part about the hotel. The rooms were clean, but were extremely small. Tthe hotel put me in one Queen bed, which was probably a Full, and the area around the bed was about 2-3 feet around. That's about the size of the place, including a tiny bathroom and small desk space. There is NO WAY POSSIBLE that two people can stay in one room...just not enough space. Since I did not spend much time in my hotel other than to sleep, it worked out.

Other amenities include a pool area, which is small, but does have a bar with good drink speicals. Rooms had free internet. The TV remote in my room did not have batteries, but it was okay since I could sit on the bed and reach to change the channels (this should give a little better picture as to the size of the room).

I only recommend this hotel to people who are alone and plan to be out of the hotel for most of their trip.

Avoid at all costs!. This hotel is a joke. The people working there are rude, the stuff they give you to use for your convenience is overpriced and doesn't work (in-room safe, etc...), the bathrooms are tiny, the showers are ridiculously tiny, the sink is more a half sink than a whole one, the parking system is a joke (try to get out of a spot once your in it, not happening, at least not quickly), the location is sort of icky (No good views at all), the air conditioning does not cool very much and the system does nothing to get rid of the humidity in your room (anything wet in your room with never completely dry due to the humidity problem), the rooms are way overpriced for what you get, the balconies are a joke (why have them with no view), the television channels don't like to come in, the list is endless. DON'T STAY HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! I DID!
