That guy is way off. I have been to the bar several times and never got the feeling that this was an "undercover gay bar." It has always seemed like a cool place for people to hang out in a non club like atmosphere, like so many of the bars around Waikiki. There is usually some live music from some locals and a good mix of people. All in all a great place to grab a beer with some chill people.

best gay hookup for tourists. I got a recommendation from this twink I met on Queen's beach to go to Kelley's to meet some other vacationing bois. The doorman was a little creepy but aside from that and the skeevy old manager guy that kept trying to offer us free drinks it was OK. There were a handful of local trannies getting their drink on and dancing around (before heading out to the street corners) and they really added some much needed fun to the place. There were some cute beach boys there and it was a pretty easy place to find some tina and a hook-up for the night. Not so much good for dancing but it was right next to my hotel so I'm not going to complain too much about that.

Unwelcome suprise. The place looked like a divey irish bar but when I walked in I realized it was a total gay bar in disguise. Even the doorman was gay. He was sitting there flaunting his "8 years of military service" without getting caught while flirting with some other guys. Damn near all the girls I saw in this place were trannies and the others were fag-hags clinging on to everything in sight begging for attention. Definately not what I thought it was going to be.

Now mind you not that I have any problem with gay bars, it's just that Kelley's really pulled a fast one with their irish facade.

Best bar in honolulu. Great bar. the staff is excellent. the food was very good. and the have ntn trivia.

Irish Pub in Waikiki. Good Guiness and excellent fish and chips. Great value, not a tourist trap. with live music daily (open until 4:00 am very close to all major hotels. If you are looking for a good semi dive bar must go here.
