In Short – With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.
Amazing shrimp in Honolulu!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Morton's the Steakhouse in Honolulu. I don't think I could have been happier with the food, service or atmosphere. I think I had the best shrimp I've EVER tasted in their Shrimp Alexander. I highly recommend it! The cocktails were generous, and the dessert sinfully wonderful. Altogether a fine experience.
Best Part of My Trip

I had had the worst experiance in my vacation to Oahu and this was the last thing i had planned before leaving. Now I know why I say "Save the best for last." This was ot THE best meal Ive had, but its coming in close. The service is impecible. The food is rearkable. Dessert is heavenly. The ambiance is steller. The only problem was finding it. Morton's is inside the Ala Moana mall and finding the floor its on is hard. But the stores on the way to finding it are nice.
- Pros: dessert, service, ambiance
- Cons: hard to find
Painfully slow service - yes, really painful

We ended up actually ordering our meals exactly 50 minutes after we were seated. We were hungry, and didn't want to wait that long, but really didn't have a choice, as it was our first time and our server insisted on showing us the meat cart and explaining everything to us before we got menus (we finally got menus over a half hour after being seated).
Ok, for the food, the $88 Porterhouse for two was a very good steak, but I have a hard time saying it was better than much cheaper steaks I've had at other restaurants, hough. I'd tell you about the asparagus we ordered, but it never arrived.
We ended up being comped, salads, after dinner drinks (which we declined), and dessert. The dessert we got was a hot chocolate souffle cake, which was absolutely fabulous - easily the best part of the meal.
- Pros: Chocolate souffle
- Cons: Painfully, Slow, Service
