All About Facials & Waxing

I'm 18 and went in for my first waxing when I was just 16 or maybe 17. Naturally it was pretty intimidating, but Cj was great and made me feel comfortable. She'll walk you through the whole process, and just has a great happy energy about her. All about facials is the only place I'll go. CJ is my go-to for waxing and facials. To give you some background: my hormones are out of whack, I have sensitive skin, and I have a fair/medium complexion with hyperpigmentation. It's like a beauty trifecta from hell! I found CJ at the beginning of this year from online reviews and decided to give her a try, especially since her prices were super reasonable and she was right in Kaimuki. Over the course of this year, I've gone for a face wax every six weeks or so and she does such a great job. The wax she uses doesn't overly irritate my skin and I like that she listens when I tell her what I'm looking for with my eyebrows - which is a truly rare and much valued trait in the beauty world, apparently!

I also have had her signature facials done three times and I absolutely love them! Now, I'm the kind of girl who wants an aesthetician who really de-congests my pores in addition to doing the massaging and relaxing thing. Her facials are A-mazing! My skin always looks clear and clean. With my sensitive skin, the fact that she can do a face wax and facial back-to-back and still get my skin to be clean, glowing, and not irritated....that's a testament to CJ's skill and the investment she makes in using high-quality products! CJ really spends her time making every minute count when she gives a facial and I've always left feeling relaxed and looking radiant.

Quick tip: If you're not into heavy scrubbing or deep extractions, just let her know. I like the intensity she brings when doing the exfoliating and extracting, but I know others may find it a wee bit too much/sore. I'm kind of a "no pain, no gain" in this respect. :)…

BEST WAXING EXPERIENCE...EVER!!!. I have gotten waxed many times, mind you never in Hawaii, and I must say that CJ was FANTASTIC and PROFESSIONAL and super PERSONABLE and made the experience into a pleasantry rather than the usual masochistic dreaded "must" as a female who doesn't want to look like a fir tree! Haha. No, but honestly, CJ was quick, used the perfect temperature wax, and the best of all, kept me distracted during my entire full leg wax. I barely felt a thing. She also made my eyebrows look smashing becuase she didn't make them pencil thin, yet really just accentuated my natural brow line. She is a must go to and I can't wait to go back. Now that's a first in forever...even an oxymoron...wanting to go back to your waxer!! But, that's how good she is and that's how painless it was!! What else can I say?! You do the math:)…
