Authentic Mexican Food. I have to start this review by stating that I absolutely love Tacos and More! The food is amazing and being a native Texas girl, I know my Mexican food...this is the real deal! I live on the Waianae coast and while I thoroughly love this part of the island, we don't have a lot of options, restaurant wise. Tacos and More is definitely a gem!

There are only two problems with Tacos and More...the portions are small, and the prices are high. For around $12, you get a couple of tacos with no sides. The tacos are excellent, but for $12, I need some rice and beans and complimentary chips and salsa. I have left Tacos and More still feeling hungry a couple of times, but I have learned to order some of the larger dinners and pay the extra price for them. The restaurant is extraordinarily clean, very comfortable, and very cool temperature wise. Sit inside for a few minutes and you'll forget your in Waianae, Hawaii; it is definitely reminiscent of some little Mexican cafe or taquerita that can only be found in Mexico! The staff is superb and very friendly...they go out of their way to make you feel like an old friend even if it's your first time!

Go to Tacos and More for a special occasion when you have a little bit for money to spend and are not on a strict budget, order a margarita or two, the largest dinner they have, and you won't be disappointed. If you are going with the expectation of spending a few dollars for a big meal, you will be disappointed.

Small Portions-Big Prices. What could have been a great hole in the wall restaurant was very disappointing. The large Guacamole was tiny, a small bowl of chips and micro tiny salsa were put on the table for 4 people, then we were charged for the second basket when we asked. The place is clean, but we left still hungry. Portions were very small. Bad for a stop from the beach.

A hidden little gem on the Waianae Coast. Javier and Laura, the owners, are always on sight making incredible food and the best margarhita ever. Try the posole (sp?) soup! It is addictive. My husband loves the chile verde and I always order the beef fajitas. They fresh chop their salsa and it is the best. This is also the cleanest restaurant I've ever been to.
