Employees Attitude. Like a lot of customers we also enjoy shopping at the Kaheka St store, however, we would also like to experience HAPPY EMPLOYEES, but instead most of the cashiers are not happy workers. It seems that they are not well trained, most do not appreciate their job, and un-friendly.

Too bad the Kailua store closed where all the friendly employees were.

Don Quijote is the best dept store in hawaii. they have everything, close to waikiki, quirky oriental stuff, quirky japanese posters, cheap cheap prices, nice people, great gift selection from hawaii for dirt cheap, quirky is the theme here. i cannot praise them enough. the store is not the cleanest outside, but it is down to earth mellow and i can overlook their faults because there is no one in hawaii like them and i appreciate that they exist here!!!

This store has EVERYTHING.. Being the procrastinator I am, I completely avoided getting gifts to bring back to my family as souvenirs until the last minute. I ran into Don Quijote really last minute expecting to find some cheesy stuff but they had some REALLY nice authentic Hawaiian gifts to give. I was shocked. The store is also really organized. I ended up going down the liquor aisle to find these cool sake kits made by Ty-ku that i had never seen before. Come to find out, its not Hawaiian so I kept it for myself but hey! great deals all around.

24-hour mega-store--a bargain-heavy oasis among high-priced tourist shops--features food, snacks, clothing, and souvenirs.. In Short
Don Quijote may not be anything special for the average Hawaiian shopper, but for visitors it can be an oasis among high-priced tourist shops. Under bright lights and cartoon-y mascots, rows of island treats such as Kona coffee, macadamia nuts and t-shirts offer tourists a one-stop shop for souvenirs. Sunscreen, chairs, towels, and other beach accessories are stocked as well. The adventurous can stock up on Japanese delicacies such as dried fish, li hing fruits, and more. Ready-made local dishes such as poi and loco moco make for a quick meal.
