21.279258 -157.830787Right in the heart of a great shopping area. Also has a great happy hour! Sat with some locals who were very friendly and gave us some good recommendations for things to do nearby. We will definitely be back.
Met some colleagues for breakfast and had the best omelette ever. Server was very accomodating to my special order of an egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms and onions, no cheese and all the ingredients were very fresh. The fruit bowl was also full of a variety of really fresh fruit. I'd forego the decaf coffee in favor of regular. Service was fast, food was excellent and I'm going back soon. You can go for lunch and park for free right in the hotel from 10am until 3pm or so.
Giovanni Pastrami is one of those places that you go to in Waikiki because of its name. The food and drinks are well in the upper range, but its in tourist central so no surprises there. It caters to the traveling sports fanatics. They have lots of tvs with various sports playing. And if they aren't just ask one of the staff to help out. Most of staff is friendly - especially when we asked to substitute the tomato for sauerkraut in our sandwich and for free! Food is to be as expected in this area. Filling enough. Not extremely greasy. Extensive menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner items are always served. Appreciated the military discount as well!
Excellent sandwich selections and the smells hit you when you walk through the door. So if you want a taste of the east coast mainland , you should definitely pay them a visit.
Breakfast good selection , pancakes and waffles great, eggs average, dinner varies, great hot dogs , pasta average.
Sports on all TVs. Typical sports bar style menu. Plenty of beers, average wines. Decent atmosphere with good staff.
We live here on the islands and sometimes we treat ourselves to a good restaurant even though its in Waikiki and out of the way. We took a chance on Giovanni's because we love pastrami. We love it and we love the foods they offer on the menu. So everytime we have a special occassion or just a dinner night out, we always go to Giovanni's. The service is great, the waitresses are nice and attentive, parking is right in the back and we just enjoy a nice time at Giovanni's.
Beware not to order too much. The spaghetti with meatballs is enormous. Leave some space for the desserts, those we had were terrific. The servers are enthusiastic and helpful. Would certainly go there again
We had a great time here. Short wait at 630 pm. Busy for a reason, great food. We had Caesar, wings (hot), and pizza. The food was brought out fast and Hot. The flavor was excellent on the wings. The pizza (supreme) was loaded with toppings! The side salad was huge. Don't miss this for a good meal and fun. 10 tv's for sports and large bar area.
I went to Honolulu to watch the Superbowl. As soon as I got there, I scoped out several locations in Waikiki and decided on Giovanni's Sports Bar. I sat at the bar and the bartender really made the experience fabulous! I had the Kalua Pig which was to die for and went back the next morning for breakfast and had the Triple Play (Loco Moco, Macadamia Pancakes & their Specialty Eggs Benedict) which was a real treat!
