I can't believe the negative review that I just read about Brent's Restaurant & Deli! I guess even one of the best places in Kailua gets some customers that can't be pleased no matter what. Maybe she was having a bad day and needed to blame something else besides her own bitter feelings. I go to Brent's a couple times a month or more and have the best service, the best food, and enjoy the atmosphere every time. The waitresses are always friendly and stop back to check on me two of three times during my meal. I've never had a negative experience there and probably never will. I would highly recommend this place to anybody, from anywhere, at any time. If you're there to enjoy great food and great service, you'll have a great experience every time! (Most of you anyway)

The waitress was rude right from the start. VERY impersonable. She seemed very unhappy to be working there. We got our food, which was TERRIBLE. Tasted old and the eggs were not cooked anywhere close to what I ordered. I picked at my food, not taking more than a few bites. About 15 minutes later, the waitress comes over and drops off the check. No "how was everything" "can I get you anything else," NOT A WORD. I waitressed for several years in college and if someone barely touches their food, you should notice and address it. Get them something else. You should always check back with your customers to see if everything is okay. If a place is super busy, I understand that. But this lady was not busy at all! Then we went to pay and stood there for about 10 minutes, while everybody who worked there just totally ignored us. What about a "I'll be right with you?" We had to stop the waitress to ask if we could please pay. She barked very rudely back and some guys came to the register to help us. He didn't even ask if everything was okay. Just took our money. Not a thank you come again, nothing. I can't believe this place gets such good reviews, it's TERRIBLE. I live in this town, and I will never go back there. For those of you just passing through, don't bother. If you want good breakfast, try Cinnimon's, it's right down the street. Always great service and the food is a million times better! Hope this review saves someone from this terrible experience.
