I too decided on this salon based on rave reviews. I had a marginal experience. When I arrived I was on time exactly. I let the girl at the front counter know who I was there to see and what time my appt was. She advised I move to the back waiting area and make myself comfortable as my stylist was still on her previous appt. Ok so long story short. My hair washing was one of the most painful experiences I have ever received in a salon. It was if the guy washing it was being punished and made to wash my hair and took it out on me. The stylist was more than 45 min late getting to me. And as I later found out it was because her daughters friend came in unannounced and wanted her hair styled for something she was going to that evening. My stylist seemed rushed and uninterested in my cut. I did not get a bad cut, I will say that. But at $60 a cut and another $10 tip (usually expexcted) my super high hopes were not fulfilled.

Pros: Did received a good haircut

Cons: Late, painful washing, felt as though I was being rushed

I decided to give Sanctuary a try after reading the other reviews. Over the years I've had my hair done at some of the more high-end salons on the island such as Chop, JSalon, Heaven on Earth, etc. None of them come close to Sanctuary salon. I make this claim for several reasons. First, the stylists are wonderful. They are all extremely friendly, talented, and unpretentious. They actually listen to what you want, and make suggestions without being being overly obtrusive. There is a very positive energy between the staff and clientele that can be sensed immediately as you walk through the door. Second, the prices are extremely reasonable. I used to think that to get a good cut, you had to be wiling to pay a hundred dollars or more. I paid around half that amount at Sanctuary and received a better cut than I did at the othe salons I've mentioned in this review, while also having the opportunity to interact with some really great personalities. Highly recommended.

After hearing about Sanctuary Salon through this web site I decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in I loved everything about it. It offers a comfortable atmosphere, well educated stylist and great makeup. Not only did Hana make my hair look better than ever, she made me feel so relaxed. This salon is like a private club, if your already a client your lucky, if your not a client you really want to be on. Best of all the prices are very reasonable. I would suggest Sanctuary Salon to everyone, believe me you'll love it. I can't remeber the last time my hair looked so good. So if your looking for a new, fun, educated stylist give Hana or any of the other stylist at Sanctuary Salon a call, you won't regret it

Pros: Everything!

Cons: A little hard to find.

I JUST RECENTLY MOVED HERE FROM BEVERLY HILLS CA. I'VE BEEN TO SOME OFTHE BEST SALONS IN THE WORLD . I'VE HAD THE SAME HAIRDRESSER FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND WAS VERY NERVOUS WHEN I HAD TO RELOCATE AND FIND A NEW STYLIST. I WENT TO SEVERAL REPUTALBE SALONS AND WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS I WAS GETTING. THEN CAME SANCTUARY, I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH MY STYLIST, SHE GAVE ME SOME OF THE BEST COLOR I'VE EVER HAD. SHE GAVE MY L.A. STYLIST A RUN FOR HIS MONEY. RENEE ,RICK AND THEIR STAFF WERE SO PROFESSIONAL AND WELCOMING I FELT COMFORTABLE THE MINUTE I WALKED IN THE DOOR. THEY MADE ME LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND I FELT IT !!!!!! I TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE THERE IS NEVER A DULL MOMENT WHEN I'M THERE. THANK YOU ,MY SANCTUARY ANGELS

I found this salon through City Seach and was very happy with my experince there. I walked in to the salon with a big lifeless hair. My stylist was Hana, she was tall, beautiful, and had wonderful hair. I was not to sure what I wanted, but she took her time taking with me about what we would do with my hair. She took in to consideration things like, my face shape, skin tone, how long do I spend styling my hair in the morning, my profession, how often I wash it and etc. We had great conversation and the whole Sanctuary Salon staff was wonderful. I thought Hana and the rest of salon staff were very educated, professionl and fun. If your one of those boring uptight people I would suggest you go else where. In the end my color was wonderful and cut really complimented my face shape. I went from big lifeless hair to beautiful commercial hair. I was almost shocked when I saw the finished hair style, I never looked that great before. If anyone is looking for new fun stylist I would highly recommend Hana or any of one from Santucary Salon. Thanks Hana and rest of the Sanctuary Salon staff.

Pros: Fun Atmosphere, great stylist.

Cons: Limited parking and a little hard to find.

I was looking for a hair salon when I came across the review of Sanctuary Salon on this website. I decide it to give it a try because the lady writing the review spoke highly of this place. Unfortunately the experience was nothing like what she described. The tall female stylist who cut my hair had a very unprofessional demeanor. To make things worse she did not understand hair and gave me the worst haircut that I've in a long time. It is very easy to distinguish a skilled knowledgeable stylist from someone who doesn't really understand how hair works. I might've been able to put up with the unprofessional behavior of the Sanctuary Salon stylists but paying for a bad haircut is unacceptable. My advise is that if you are interested in getting a nice haircut you avoid this place altogether. If you don't mind getting a mediocre cut you may still want to avoid this place and go to the nearest SuperCuts. You'll get the same results but you'll spend less money.

Pros: Stylist was on time

Cons: Unprofessional staff and incompetent stylist

I had a wonderful experience at Sanctuary! It was my first time having my haircut since moving from the mainland and I was really nervous but the staff did nothing but put my mind at ease with their thoughtful questions and friendly attentiveness! My stylist was Kyle and he worked magic on my hair! I would absolutely reccommend visiting, and they have a wide range of services other than just cuts and styles! The price was on the more affordable end of the upscale salon and the service was worth 10 times more! I would reccommend calling for directions, however, unless you know the area well, as the ones they are able to give are much easier and fast to follow than a directions site would be!

Pros: Wonderful atmosphere

Cons: Not a whole lot of parking, but managable

It's a warm inviting atmosphere with a friendly ,fun and skilled staff. Their emphasis is on healthy sexy hair, educating the client is key in their shop. The Boutique /Salon was a real treat I liked it so much I brought my mom and sisters They also did an amazing job with my wedding and while I was there a celebrity came to get his hair done. I would highly recomend this place for anyone who has a bad hair experience they will renew your faith in hair salons.
