Wow! From when I walked in the door I knew I was in the right place! I was greeted with a smile and a warm hello...not a grunt and a snarl. The receptionists KNOW what they are doing...they not only know designs but all about all the details of getting a tattoo. I was scared but they put me right at ease with their information. The shop is clean. I mean CLEAN. Wow! My tattoo is fantastic, the experience was fantastic and I WILL BE BACK! I just had no idea what it could be all about but after the SKIN DEEP experience I understand. I think how I was treated in other shops I visited and how the staff treated me here...oh, boy! I was treated with respect by my artist who joked the whole time. Aftercare instructions were given verbally and written with phone and email contact. I felt like part of the family when I left!! I even got some tips on great restaurants and things to do while in Hawai...the real things to do! I just can not say enough about these people!!

Pros: Just a perfect place

Cons: No tshirts right now.

skinn deep is the best very clean shop and will work with whatever you want. if you think it up they will put it to life, or skinn. the staff is very knowledgable about the whole process and will entertain you throughly. want to know the best place to eat in town just ask they know all the hot spots too. very highly recomended. A+++

Pros: great people and great times

Cons: they kick you out at closeoing time.

My tattoo I got here is soooooooooo nice. I had a bad experience at another shop on the island. They not only fixed my old tattoo, but made it into something I now totally love. Went in hateing what I had on my body. Walked out in love with my new design that looks completely different from what I had started with. i would recommend this shop to everyone

Im really disappointed at how my tattoo came out. The lines arent clean and now I have to spend more money to find another tattoo shop who can cover it up for me.

this shop is in the heart of waikiki, open til midnight. very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. mike did my tattoo, which came out with very clean lines and i am totally happy with it. i would get work here again.

Pros: artists w/many styles, clean shop, made me feel at ease

Skin Deep Tattoo would have to be the best Tattoo shop I Know. They are highly clean, using very sterile equiptment as well as one time use needles. There lines are very sharp and accurate!! they have one tattoo artist, they call Sin, his sense of humor will keep you coming back its slightly off...but funny!!! It's across the street from planet Hollywood, down a small walkway, but if you hit Gucci and Tiffany's you have gone to far! turn around go back two stores......You will have to look for it. but well worth it!!

Pros: professional, Funny, well priced

Cons: hard to find, one location

So many tattoo shops today have that 'take me or leave me' attitude....not so with Skin Deep Waikiki!! From the minute you walk into this quaint shop you are greeted and made to feel the 'aloha spirit' of Hawaii! They take time to qualify your thoughts and design ideas...not a production shop of get in here and get gone. This shop has been in the same location under the same owner for over 24 years...and we can see why! It's spotless, the tattooers explain everything (yeah, they actually TALK TO YA!) and give you clear and concise aftercare. Talk about feeling comfortable!! THIS PLACE IS IT!!

Pros: CLEAN, professional, Reasonable prices

They do the best tattoos in Hawaii. They're friendly, courtious, and resonably priced. All their work is guaranted and is done with care and professionalism

I have been going to this shop for years, so has my mother. The shop has been in the same location and under the same ownership for over twenty years. Some of the staff has been there almost as long. It was a little hard to find the first time, but WELL worth the effort in looking.I have tattoos from there that are over 12 years old and they look better than most of my friends that they got else where. I travel alot and this is my favorite shop in the world. I always wait to get back to Hawaii to get anything new.
