I crave these puffs
by netter1
My favorite aunt would make a layover in Los Angeles to bring us cocoa puffs on her way to Las Vegas. Now that she's gone, I have to fly to Honolulu myself. Sadly,. that doesn't happen often enough. If you're ever near Honolulu you must try these cream puffs. They are just amazing. AMAZING I SAY!!!!
- Pros: Best cream puffs I've every had
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Legendary cocoa puffs and old-fashioned lunch counter!
by michelle_h
I live in Portland, Oregon now, but when I go home, I always stop by Liliha Bakery for their cocoa puffs. I love the old-fashioned lunch counter, and the food is excellent. I have had breakfasts and lunches here and everything is always good and tasty. Just good, homestyle local cooking at its best!
- Pros: The best cocoa puffs and great lunch counter...
- Cons: Nothing
I really go cuckoo for these Coco Puffs
by porkjello
If there's one thing you try when you come to Oahu, get some of the coco puffs from this bakery. I bought a dozen and my wife and I polished those bad boys off in two days.
- Pros: Best cream puffs ever made
- Cons: I have to fly to Hawaii to get them
open 24 hours!

The food here is down-home, local food! I enjoyed everything I tried there. They make a great hamburger steak and the pancakes are good . . . and this is from someone who rarely eats pancakes!
Seating is hard to come by especially if you have large groups since they only have a small counter.
Cocoa puffs (chocolate cream puffs) are EXCELLENT!
- Pros: great food!!!
- Cons: limited seating
Favorite Bakery in the WORLD
by pikake21
And I'm not kidding. No matter what, I'm ordering at least a dozen cocoa puffs (chocolate filled cream puffs with chantilly icing on top..pure heaven). Suprisingly enough though, as good as their pastries and desserts are, their hamburgers are fries are perfect too! The burger is a size that I can handle, without feeling as though I ate a half a pound of beef. The bakery is definitely busy but the women who work here (many of whom have worked here for years and years) are so very helpful and will get you out of there as quickly as possible. I hope this bakery never leaves us.
- Pros: pastries, burgers, coffee, COCOA PUFFS!
- Cons: busy
everything is so yummy!

- Pros: open 24 hours
- Cons: crowded , closed mondays

The crowd that is ahead of you is a great indicator of the quality of food that you will grind.
Best cake frosting
by loriannott
In addition to cocoa puffs, Liliha Bakery makes the best frosting. I am NOT a frosting person--I'm usually the one scraping it off a cake because it is too sweet, greasy or gritty or whatever. Liliha's frosting is light, just the right consistency, not too sweet and the perfect topping to really ono cakes. They have a ton of designs and will also customize the decorations, too.
- Pros: cakes, cocoa puffs, nostalgic dining room
- Cons: parking, lines

Best Cocoa Puffs

Growing up in Nuuanu I had a taste for Liliha Bakery's Cocoa Puffs from a very young age. And, being older now, I've seen many imitations. Even when I went to France and sampled a pastry filled with custard and chocolate, nothing beats Liliha. Nothing!
- Pros: COCOA PUFFS!, relaxed atmos
