You cant beat The Bus

Excellent public transportation, can be crowded at peak times - after and before work. It goes all over the island $2 each way. Schedules can be found at 7-11, and other places, they are helpful over the phone and will give detailed directions. Give yourself extra time, and take the "Express" buses if leaving the major Honolulu/Waikiki area.
