Chop is a very good salon you can trust. I am very particular when it comes to my hair and Chop always gives good results.
Pros: You do not have to worry

I have been a loyal Chop fan since the beginning! They opened about seven years ago and I followed my stylist there. SInce then, I have had a chance to try out the other stylists every so often for color or for styling depending on my schedule but still being faithful to my true stylist, Kihan. I love that I can just say, "Do whatever you want!" and it comes out just perfect for me. From my point of view, Kihan is into the pretty and beautiful cuts, wheras Richie is into edgy, Cathy is the ultimate blowdry & stylist, Mirei is into hip and funky and Janelle is into sultry styles. My suggestion is to ask the girls that book you who is the best in what you want and you will find the person for you. As for me, I have been loyal to Kihan for 19 years!

I heard a lot of positive reviews about this salon, so I was expecting great results. However, a red flag should've went up when my stylist told me she only had 2 years of experience, but I convinced myself that she was probably very talented at cutting hair. For such a highly praised salon I was expecting experienced stylists. I asked for a simple cut - just a trim with a few layers and shorter bangs like Jennifer Love Hewitt. I even gave her a picture! As she cut away at my bangs, I was becoming more and more nervous. At the rate she was going, it seemed as though I wouldn't have any hair left. I finally had to stop her before she cut anymore off. When my hair was finally dried and styled, I looked ridiculous. My hair looked nothing like the picture I gave her. To look somewhat decent, I had to pin my hair back for about 1 1/2 months until my bangs grew a little longer. I'm sure some of the other stylists are great, so my advice is to ask for a stylist that has A LOT of experience. Chop certainly chopped my hair!

What can I say... Kihan is the BEST Stylist on the island, LA, San Francisco, San Diego and by far the best in the business!!! His work of art compliments and defines who he is... professional, trendy, stylish and quite handsome! The price - you're paying for the best and it's well worth every penny! I honestly have flown from San Francisco, LA and San Diego to get my hair done by Kihan at CHOPs! CHOPs' entire staff are extremely courteous, friendly, knowlegible, professional and as far as the atmosphire goes... it's extremely relaxing and at the same time... it's highly sophisticated!
Pros: Extreme Professionals as far as "up to date" trend and style!
Cons: They're usually booked weeks on out, so you'll have to book your appointment in advance!

I loved the trendy hairdo that I got from Chop. The staff knew their stuff...the only thing that held me back was the price.

expertise stylist, good with color and haircut. I recommend this salon. needs improvement with the atmosphere, seems like you are in a wharehouse.
