Best Brazilian Wax in Honolulu

CJ is nothing short of fantastic. After living in Los Angeles, and getting great waxes in Beverly Hills for over 10 years, I?ve had to search long and hard for a good Brazilian wax in Honolulu. After enduring many awful (and horrifically expensive waxes), I luckily happened upon the glowing reviews of CJ on Citysearch and Yelp. I was cynical about trying another place, but I am so glad that she did! I easily found metered parking across from the nondescript white building in Kaimuki. After walking down the quiet hallway, and upon entering the suite, I was greeted with a cool, soothing, clean, and serene waiting room, with fresh water available in the corner. CJ was warm, friendly, and professional. Her technique was flawless and totally painless. I have endured hundreds of waxes in my lifetime, and I have never experienced a waxing experience that was this pleasant, or this fast. I will NEVER go to another waxer in Honolulu. If you are looking for a high-quality, spa-style waxing experience with a reasonable price tag, book an appt. with CJ ASAP.

Expert!

I gave up on finding a great, experienced waxing place after trying so many different places, almost all of which charged ridiculously compared to the mainland. Then my friend from LA, who was only here for one summer, recommended me this place.

It's been almost two years since I moved to Hawaii, which means no periodical Brazilian wax for me for two years. Even though it was the first time in a long while, she made sure I felt comfortable and that wouldn't feel much pain. I WAS nervous about the pain because I have bad experiences with waxing here in Hawaii. She was sooo good... AND quick! (I didnt even have half an hour for my parking meter, but she finished it on time! )

The price was a little higher than expected, but that's only because it was the first time in a long while as I mentioned before. She mentioned that she charges her clients fairly depending on the "workload." To me, that sounds fair.

• Cons: no sign outside

Great Experience!!!

CJ is truly a professional and well educated and skilled in waxing. I'm so thankful to have found her! I recently moved to Oahu and had my first apt. today. She was great! She was wonderful! Competitive prices, quick, and a true expert in her field. CJ just got herself a new regular client! Thanks for today and a great experience CJ! I was really worried about replacing "my Maria" back in DC. Thanks for making the transition "painless"

Definitely, The Best Brazilian Wax in Honolulu!!!

CJ was Fantastic!!! I had my first appointment with her today and she was GREAT. She makes you feel comfortable, relax and plus she takes her time. She has been doing what she loves for 20 years and I would definitely recommend my girl friends to go to her. I have already booked her for next month.

Very fast and not too painful brazilian wax

A friend referred me to All About Facials and Waxing and now I've been to CJ several times for a brazilian wax and I've told all my friends about it! She is so welcoming and made me very comfortable, it was over before I even knew it! I'd definitely recommend going to CJ for a brazilian wax it's so much better than shaving and perfect when you live in Hawaii especially now that summer is coming up!

There's no way these reviews are real

If you really read these reviews, you'll see that all of the five-star reviews essentially say the same thing (it was my first bikini wax, she was so gentle, etc., etc.). I would put money on the fact that they were written by someone associated with the spa. I don't care how good you are at waxing, you're not going to get that many stellar reviews. Plus, there are way more reviews for this place than any other spa. Just a reminder to take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Hype was not warranted - terrible experience

I went to CJ for an eyebrow and Brazilian wax. She did my brows first, and when she had me look in the mirror, I nearly burst into tears because my eyebrows were WAY too thin. I've been to probably a dozen different aestheticians in my life and it was easily the worst my brows have ever looked. CJ was very apologetic and didn't charge me for the wax and offered to wax them again for free next time.

Then we moved on to the Brazilian. She had me undress right in front of her, which I thought was weird (normally you undress prior to the services starting and cover yourself with a towel). I had nothing to cover myself, I was just hangin' out there. The wax was unusually painful (which I understand could have been caused by something other than the wax or technique), but the results were decent.

When I went back to the office after my appointment, several coworkers commented on my screwed-up brows. I spent the next 2 months having to draw on my eyebrows each morning. The next day, my nether regions were very sore and upon further inspection I realized that parts of the skin had been *ripped off*. Again, this has never happened to me in over 20 times of being waxed down there. I applied Neosporin and the soreness was gone after 2 days, but I will never, ever return to all about facials and waxing.

One star for the professionalism and genuine concern from CJ, but zero stars for the results.

CJ is the best! Especially for someone like me with severe "body" issues!!!!

I just can't say enough wonderful things about my experience yesterday with CJ. This was my very first Brazilian waxing experience and needless to say, I was nervous. . . to say the least! I am very self conscious of my body, so shaving was my only option. The big problem with shaving is the itch and thicker re-growth. I have considered waxing before, but never felt comfortable when I spoke with other salons regarding questions or concerns that I had. It wasn't like that with CJ. From my first telephone contact, to walking through the door, CJ made me feel very comfortable and at ease . The atmosphere she creates is very calming and peaceful. Scented candles, subdued lighting and soothing music aide in the relaxation process. During my session, she explained the process, worked quickly, and never made me feel uncomfortable. The whole time I spent with her was like visiting with a friend. I will see her again, and recommend her to everyone. . . she's great!

• Pros: relaxing atmosphere, very down to earth and friendly personality

CJ- Nothing Compares 2 U!

I don't usually write reviews for goods and services, but after going to CJ for over 3 years, it's time I started! I was introduced to CJ, by my mom in 2005, and have been a loyal customer ever since. I had gotten a facial the year before in CA at one of those "chain" salons and was so uncomfortable during the entire process. The technician not only lectured me about the ways that I take care of my skin and my lack of a daily make-up routine, but left me feeling red, sensitive, and splotchy for DAYS afterwards. When my mom made me an appointment with CJ, I was excited, but also a little wary given my previous experience. BUT my time with CJ was NOTHING like that. CJ was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and left me (and my face) feeling renewed, revitalized, and relaxed, which is not always possible after extractions. Since then, I visit All About Facials and Waxing EVERY time I am in town for all of my facial and waxing needs. When I got married this past summer, there was no one I was going to let touch my face before the Big Day except for CJ. She worked with me over the five weeks that I was here pre-wedding to get my face fresh and blemish-free. She is a highly trained professional, and my trust in her is implicit and complete. I even decided to get "fully dipped" in preparation for the wedding and could not have been happier with the results. I was a waxing "virgin" (besides my routine eyebrow wax) and felt understandably nervous on the day of my appointment. But the results were AMAZING and the pain NONEXISTENT (and I have a very low threshold for pain). We just chatted it up and before I knew it, the waxing was over, my legs and arms had never been so smooth, and I got to lay back on the table and enjoy my facial. She even did the make-up for my entire bridal party, and we all looked and felt BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely believe all the other glowing reviews that rate CJ the best in the island - I live in CA, and there's no one that compares to her there either!

Love it!

All about facials and waxing is clean and relaxing. The owner CJ is absolutely lovely and makes you feel right at home. It is a great atmosphere and I love to go there! (the brazilian waxes aren't as painful either!)
