I saw "Mad Science of Hawaii" perform at the HECO "Live Energy Lite Expo" at Pearlridge in October 2006 and 2007, and they were very entertaining! They mix humor with the excitement of science experiments that boom, flash, and smoke -- what better way to entertain and educate children? The audience participation adds to the learning experience. I highly recommend "Mad Science of Hawaii" for elementary school-aged groups. Contact them at <madscience@hawaii.rr dotcom>.
Pros: Educational, entertaining, audience participation, humor and science together!
Cons: Need a small stage area for their performance (they have a lot of gadgets).
